One of the names of Allah Almighty is ‘Al-Adl’, which means that when we think about Allah Almighty, justice is the foremost attribute that comes to mind. The world is a place of trial where complete justice is impossible to achieve. For example, if a murderer kills ten or twenty people and a just judge gives them the death penalty, then the judge has fulfilled his duty of justice. Allah Almighty will reward him.
According to a saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), on the Day of Judgment, Allah Almighty will provide him a place under His shade. However, the question arises: what about the punishment for the remaining victims? Such a murderer will receive the punishment for killing the other individuals on the Day of Judgment.
Several years ago, I met the former Director General of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood (may his star shine), at an event in Islamabad. You were an important associate of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, who made Pakistan a nuclear power.
At that time, I found out that one of his sons is a major in the Pakistan Army. A few days ago, when I heard their press conference, they were complaining that even after a year, the culprits of the May 9 incident have not been punished. Now, they have become Major General. Major General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry is the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). His father, Sultan Bashir Mahmood, has also done a scientific interpretation of the initial portions of the Quran. His other book, ‘Resurrection and Afterlife’, is extremely important. Since I have a great passion for science and related fields, I have read this book twice.
The purpose of saying this is that in this apparent world of trial, there should be a system of justice, and it should be accessible to everyone as soon as possible. The notable point is that if even after one year, decisions on cases are not being made, then who knows how much time will pass. What will be the condition of people like us? The nation has many hopes from the honorable Chief Justice, Justice Faiz Isa, and it is prayed that he succeeds in this test. Major General Ahmad Sharif has clarified that the actions that hinder Pakistan’s progress are unconstitutional and illegal. And in this regard, even if a person holds a high position in the institution, there is no barrier in the path of justice. During the tenure of General Syed Asim Munir, such exemplary examples have been established, and more are being established, so that our beloved homeland can progress further.
With the cooperation of our great friend China, we have also launched our moon mission, Alhamdulillah, successfully with the grace of Allah. Thus, after becoming the first Muslim atomic power, Pakistan has also succeeded in becoming the first space power of the Islamic world. To progress further, we need to become a strong economic force, and for that, the completion of the CPEC and Gwadar Port projects is extremely essential, and Alhamdulillah, they are ongoing and complete. Saudi Arabia has been helping us in every project since the establishment of Pakistan. Now, in changing circumstances, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have decided to strengthen future relations through mutual trade. This will strengthen our economy; Pakistan will become stronger. If the homeland becomes strong, then it can use its dignified position in the international fraternity to establish justice in a robust manner.
At present, the biggest threat to global peace is the situation in the Middle East. Fire and brimstone are raining down on the innocent in Gaza. Israel has bombarded the cities of Gaza, Central Gaza, and Khan Yunis, telling the Palestinians to leave Rafah. As a result, fifteen million people are sitting in camps around Rafah and its surroundings, but Israel has also dropped leaflets there, asking them to leave from there too. They have also stationed tanks there. In this situation, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with French President Macron in Paris. Both have said that they want to resolve the issue through the permanent members of the Security Council, so that peace and stability can be achieved in the Middle East while adhering to international law. In other words, if there is a forced evacuation of Palestinians from Rafah, global peace and stability will be at risk. A faction of American rulers also holds this position. Egypt has also said that if Israel attacks Rafah, all agreements will be terminated. Saudi Arabia has taken a particularly firm stance on this.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry has warned Israel that its occupying forces are targeting Rafah in a way that has turned the entire Gaza Strip bloody and left Gaza residents homeless. Yes! The meaning of warning Israel is clear that the innocence of the Palestinians will not be tolerated.
Remember, the armies of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Qatar can be deployed in Gaza for peacekeeping. Talks are underway, so we have to play a role there and as quickly as possible, improve the situation in our country by improving political and economic stability and moving the country forward. Our geographical position and the population of 250 million are also reminding us to resolve internal issues quickly and play a role in the international fraternity.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has also expressed this desire in various circles that we need to move forward. We have to move forward quickly and with speed.
At present, the rulers of America and Europe are in severe pressure. When Joe Biden goes to any public place, voices of “Shame on you” begin to rise. A student stood up during Tony Blinken’s press conference and said, “Palestinians are not animals. Stop funding Israel for the genocide of the Palestinians. End the war. Free the Gaza border from military control.” Protests are taking place at all universities in America and Europe.
Students have set up tents in solidarity with the Palestinians. When the police try to dismantle these tents, students wave Palestinian flags in their hands. Palestinian scarves are wrapped around their heads and shoulders. When the police arrest them, they come back after being released. They are enduring sticks and oppression but remain steadfast. This is an impulse of human love and brotherhood. It has nothing to do with region, religion, color, or language. O people of Pakistan! We have to stand with humanity from all over the world and play a role, or do we want to keep circling around our surroundings like a bullock cart?
May 3 was World Press Freedom Day. Dahranwala is a famous town in southern Punjab. I inaugurated the Friday prayers in the Abu Hurairah Mosque here. People of all faiths attended in thousands. All four floors of the mosque were packed. Prominent figures from the journalist community also participated. Just as Israel perpetrated a massacre of the journalist community in Gaza, Mian Mir Ahmad Sahurwardi, President of the Dahranwala Press Club, Qari Saifullah, Hajji Shaukat, Hajji Usman, and Malik Ilyas, including all, expressed solidarity with all those journalists who sacrificed their lives in Gaza. Prayers for the speedy recovery of injured journalists. The purpose! Every human being related to every aspect of life with the people of Gaza is throbbing. The newspaper ‘Dunya’ also plays an important role in this. The message is that let Pakistan progress forward.”
