“Hazrat Saad bin Muaz and Prosperous Pakistan”

May Allah Almighty be the supporter and helper of Pakistan in every field of progress and prosperity. The elections of February 8, 2024, have taken place. Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir congratulated the Pakistani nation and all winning candidates. He expressed the desire that this election would lead to political and economic stability, making our beloved country the center of peace and prosperity.

The reality is that we have been victims of political turmoil in the past few years, and taking advantage of this situation, terrorism has started raising its ugly head again. The conduct of the elections was also threatened by terrorist activities, but our defense institutions thwarted terrorist plans through round-the-clock efforts. Despite a few incidents, the success of the election in the shadow of peace has been presented to the nation.

Now, the honorable Chief of Army Staff is expressing the hope that the Pakistani nation has given a mandate to political parties, they should come together and govern so that Pakistan can move forward. With the blessings of unity and consensus, economic prosperity will reach the 240 million people. People sitting around the corridors of power have resolved to surpass the people of Pakistan in their efforts. They should form a shadow cabinet for the opposition. Implement legislation for the improvement of police and judiciary. Launch programs to generate electricity and revive industries. Bring proposals for the elimination of terrorism. Enact legislation to empower social media for the revival of societal ethical values. Opposition’s constructive actions can build its future role as the ruling party.

This world is just a few days of life. The constructive role of both the ruling and opposition parties can make them dwellers of paradise, as presented by a great leader from Madinah Munawwarah.

When the last messenger of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), was being humiliated in Makkah, he sent his companion Hazrat Mus’ab bin Umair to Yathrib. There, the leader of the Aus tribe, Hazrat Saad bin Muadh, embraced Islam. Hazrat Mus’ab had established a center for inviting people to Islam in a house in Yathrib. Hazrat Saad visited this center and became a Muslim. He invited his tribe, and by the time the message reached Syria, the entire tribe had embraced Islam. Hazrat Saad was 30 years old at that time.

When the Prophet (PBUH) arrived in Yathrib, it became known as “Madinah al-Rasool.” Hazrat Saad played a crucial role in the establishment of Madinah Tayyibah. He participated in the battles of Badr and Uhud against the Quraysh of Makkah. When the Battle of the Trench occurred, he again played a significant role. An arrow hit him that didn’t bleed. He prayed to Allah for love with the Prophet (PBUH), unity with the blessed land of Tayyibah, and that the tribe of Banu Quraizah, who had betrayed during the battle, would taste the consequences of their treachery.

During the siege of Madinah by ten thousand polytheists, they retreated due to the decision of Hazrat Saad bin Muadh. He had decided the fate of all the treacherous warriors. With this decision, Hazrat Saad bin Muadh’s wound opened again, and he started bleeding. The chief of the Aus tribe, Hazrat Saad bin Muadh, became a martyr.

As he was breathing his last, his eyes were fixed on the blessed face of the Prophet (PBUH), and tears were flowing from the eyes of the Prophet (PBUH). While writing this column, a conversation was ongoing with Qari Umar Jatthol about whether our political leaders, like Hazrat Saad, have the same determination for the establishment and prosperity of the sacred land as Hazrat Saad had. Let’s move forward, strengthen our homeland, establish a system of peace and security, spread mutual love and compassion, legislate for the principles of justice, and make decisions that can build the foundations for a prosperous nation.

When the time comes to leave this world, meet Hazrat Saad bin Muadh at a time when he is present in the service of the two worlds.

Let’s go back 1,400 years. Some companions said when Hazrat Saad’s funeral was heading towards the graveyard, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Saad’s funeral is so light that we have never lifted such a light funeral.’ The Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘Why should it not be light? Today, so many angels have descended from the heavens that have not descended before today. They have supported Saad’s four legs.’ In the narration of Abdullah bin Umar, it is mentioned that the Prophet (PBUH) further said, ‘He is a righteous servant for whom even the Throne has danced.’

People of Pakistan! Let’s unite to make this country greater than ever for the honor and prosperity of the 240 million citizens. The reward for this service will be received in this world as well as in the Hereafter, InshaAllah!”
