“Sayyid al-Anbiyaﷺand Global Peace”

According to the teachings of Allah’s final messenger, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his name on earth is “Muhammad,” and in the heavens, it is “Ahmad.” In the Arabic language, every word has a root, which mostly consists of three letters. Similarly, the root of the name “Muhammad” is “Hamd,” and the root of “Ahmad” is also “Hamd.” Hamd means praise. The highest name on earth, the name filled with praise, is Muhammad, because there is only one being about whom the most books have been written across the world, and these books have all been written by human beings. In modern times, even on the internet and now through A.I., the most searched name is none other than “Muhammad.” The earth is filled with the praises of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The atmosphere of the earth is so filled with the Hamd of the Prophet ﷺ that no moment passes in 24 hours on this globe when the testimony “Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah” and “Ashhadu anna Muhammadur Rasulullah” is not being proclaimed in the skies. In this way, the atmosphere of the earth remains constantly filled with the praise of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ at every moment of day and night.

The meaning of “Ahmad,” as explained by the Prophet ﷺ, is that on the Day of Judgment, he will praise Allah the most. Remember, the Day of Judgment will last for 50,000 years, and on that day, all of humanity will be engulfed in anxiety and distress. On that day, if humanity finds peace, it will only be after the praise of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The praise that the Prophet ﷺ will offer while in prostration. The Hamd of Allah, expressed in that prostration, will bring the gift of peace to all of humanity.

Another name of our Prophet ﷺ is “Ameen,” and the root of Ameen is “Aman” (peace). Remember, praise and admiration in the heavens and the earth are given only to that person whose words and actions bring peace to humanity. Before the announcement of prophethood, when the Kaaba was being rebuilt, and the time came to place the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad), the chiefs of every tribe of the Quraysh claimed that it was their right to install the stone. Swords were about to be drawn. Finally, they agreed that the person who would enter the Sacred Mosque (Haram) first the next day would decide who would place the stone. The next day, the first person to enter was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Everyone called him “Ameen.” He was known in Mecca as “Sadiq” (truthful) and “Ameen” (trustworthy). In terms of peace and trustworthiness, the Prophet ﷺ was called Ameen. The Prophet ﷺ asked for a cloth, placed the Black Stone in it with his blessed hands, and asked the chiefs of all the tribes to hold the corners of the cloth. When they brought the cloth near the installation site, the Prophet ﷺ lifted the stone with his blessed hands and placed it in its spot. All the tribes were satisfied with this decision. This is the peace that the Prophet Ameen ﷺ gave to the people of Mecca. Now, praise for the name of Muhammad ﷺ was spreading throughout Mecca and the entire Arab world because of this peaceful decision. In this decision, the Prophet ﷺ extended his authority beyond himself and involved everyone. This is what consultation (shura) means, this is the greatness of humanity, and this is democracy. There is blessing in it, and in it lies the honor and dignity of humanity.

At present, a high-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council is taking place in the U.S. to discuss Gaza and now Lebanon. This institution, which is supposed to ensure global peace and humanity, has failed to stop the ongoing year-long oppression in Gaza. The five permanent members of the Security Council have also failed to bring about a ceasefire. This failure was also mentioned in the recent meeting. The world is standing on the edge of a new terrifying global war. Anyone who looks down from the edge sees a blazing sea of fire and flames. Will all of humanity fall into it and be consumed? Even U.S. President Joe Biden has now said that the world must come forward to stop this war from spreading.

The question is, who is supplying Israel with ammunition? Who is holding back the International Court of Justice, which has already declared the Israeli Prime Minister guilty of war crimes, but is facing obstacles in issuing his arrest or imposing sanctions on Israel? Furthermore, the idea of adding more than five permanent members to the U.N. has been proposed. Even President Joe Biden mentioned this. Muslims make up about one-quarter of the world’s population, close to two billion people. A sixth permanent member of the Security Council should be from the Muslim world. The fifty-seven Muslim countries should come forward and stand behind the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques (Khuddam al-Haramayn al-Sharifayn).

When a nuclear power like Pakistan, with its strong military, stands behind this, and strong nations like Iran, Turkey, and Indonesia stand shoulder to shoulder, the Muslims will revive the Sunnah of the great Ahmad, Ameen al-Alameen, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, insha’Allah. They will stand united with the rest of the world and turn the Middle East into a garden of peace. Let Jerusalem and Al-Quds see the peaceful flight of the dove. Let the skies over Gaza witness a dove carrying an olive branch. Let the skies over Lebanon and the West Bank hear the nightingale singing songs of peace. The whole world will hear this and sing songs of joy and happiness. In Al-Quds, once called Ilya and Jerusalem, where Muslims, Christians, and Jews live together, they will sing songs of peace and trust in light of the agreement of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA).

I was reflecting on the fact that “Hamd” consists of three letters, and “Aman” (peace) also consists of three letters. Both are connected to the blessed, love-filled names of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ attained three cities, all of which were obtained peacefully, and all are among the most sacred cities. Before the declaration of prophethood, the Prophet ﷺ brought the city of Mecca, on the brink of war, into the valley of peace. After the declaration of prophethood, when the people of Mecca persecuted him, he made the people of Yathrib his allies. At their invitation, he went to them and ascended to the prophetic pulpit of leadership. Eight years later, he returned to Mecca with a military force of ten thousand, and despite having the power, he peacefully took the keys of the Sacred Mosque and declared forgiveness for all. On the night of Isra and Miraj, the Prophet ﷺ led the prayers for all the prophets in Al-Quds. After him, Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) became the ruler of Madinah, and when the Muslim army, led by General Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah (RA), laid siege to Jerusalem, the city’s keys were handed to Caliph Umar (RA) by the highest priest, Patriarch Sophronius. SubhanAllah! If peace is to return today, it will be by putting the servants of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the lead. President Joe Biden, move forward. Do this, and through the blessings of the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and the name of Muhammad ﷺ, the world will become a cradle of peace and unite under one banner.”
